Sometimes as a mom you just need a few minutes of “you” time whether it’s 1 minute to lock yourself in the bathroom to get some quiet, or it’s 15 minutes to take a shower. That precious time helps keep us moms sane and keeps us going day in and day out. However, getting “you” time is not always easy. If your child’s not yelling at you because they’re hungry, they’re probably screaming at you because they need help getting their favorite toy out of the bottom of the toy bucket. If you’re in desperate need of some quiet time to yourself, check out these great ideas to keep your little one occupied:
1. Bean Bins
This activity is so easy to not only set up, but to keep in your house ready at a moments notice. Take some plastic bins and fill them with beans. Then add some scoops and cups into the bin and you’ve got yourself a great activity that will keep your toddler occupied for a while. They’ll scoop to their heart’s content while you get to relax and take a minute to breathe. Just be sure to watch young children as they may put the beans in their mouth.
