7. Traditional Colors
On the opposite end of the decorating spectrum are those who prefer a more traditional look. And nothing says “Merry Christmas” like red, green and ornaments. The ice skates draped over the sleigh add a nice touch of winter fun, and you can’t go wrong with Rudolph peering out of the center.

8. Rustic & Neutral
If you like the idea of decking out your fireplace mantel, but not going overboard, a neutral color palette will create a calming display. You can add small elements of the season with greenery and a banner, and throw some burlap in for a hint of texture.

9. Blue Christmas
If Elvis Presley was alive today, I bet he’d agree that this “blue Christmas” is anything but depressing. What a fun look! Those silver throw pillows are fab, the matching metallic ornaments pull the look together, and the gold frame with the reindeer could easily stay on display all year round.

10. Pop Of Aqua
I’m all about decorating with chalkboard signs. I love how you can change the message for any occasion. The way this is done to display “Have yourself a merry Christmas” is great! Taking a more modern approach with the pops of aqua is a nice touch. This serene, calming mantel is a wonderful focal point to welcome you on Christmas morning.
