7. Broken Jewelry
In some cases, we hold onto jewelry for sentimental reasons. Maybe we’ve got one of our grandmother’s vintage necklaces. Or maybe a friend gave us a ring that has a special meaning. But jewelry that has no major significance and has rusted, or has missing parts, or just doesn’t get worn should be told “buh bye!”
8. Expired Cleaning Supplies
Even the most germaphobic mom doesn’t always have time to keep a pristine home. Yet there’s probably a ton of cleaning supplies in the house. If it’s been awhile since you’ve used the wood floor cleaner or oven spray, there’s no harm in tossing those items. Keeping them around defeats the entire purpose of having a clean and clutter-free home!
9. Missing Or Mismatched Socks
If I had to count the number of socks I’ve come across that are missing a partner, I’d have a nice little sock collection. For some reason, I always hold onto those loners, thinking that someday their mates will return. And they usually don’t. So instead of living in a dream world, will you join me in letting go of those lonely little socks you pull out of the laundry? And the car? And the sofa?
10. Old Emails
The main reason we hold onto emails is because we often need to look back at them for a reference. But do you really need that one from Jim Bob that he sent you back in February? It’s so refreshing to go through your inbox and purge all those junk emails, or ones that you don’t need anymore. A technology cleanse can do wonders on your physical and mental health!
