8. Set Up A Tent Inside
For those incredibly hot days that you just can’t simply stand being outside, bring the fun inside. Set up a tent in your living room and let your kids set up some blankets and toys in the tent to play in. They can lay in it as they watch a movie or play games inside. Just having something new and different to play in inside will keep them entertained.

9. Roast Solar S’mores
A fun science experiment for your kids to try while the sun is shining is to roast solar s’mores. Since fire and kids don’t really mix that well, you can make delicious s’mores in a safe and fun way. Once this solar oven is set up, you can place it outside, let it heat up, and melt the yummy insides of the s’mores. It’s not only a fun activity to do with the kids, but an educational activity as well that will teach them about solar power.

10. Easy, Quick Duvet Fort
Building a fort in the house is always fun to do with kids, but it can get time consuming and frustrating when the blankets don’t stay and it keeps falling over. For an easier version, take your duvet cover off of your bed and at the opening point a big fan inside the duvet cover. The fan will inflate the duvet cover and you can secure the opening around the fan with tape to keep it in place. Let your kids play inside and have fun as you supervise.
