Every mom loves being around their children, but there comes a time when we all need a break. When you’ve finally found a date that works, your friends are coming and your spouse is able to watch the kids, you can’t waste an opportunity to spend a night out. Before you start talking yourself out of it, remember that both you and your family will benefit when mom has some time to herself. You will feel freedom and your children will experience a happier and relaxed mama. Check out our list of some great Mom’s Night Out ideas to inspire you to get out of the house!

1. Go Out To Dinner

Let’s start with the easiest way to have a fun evening, and that’s going out to eat and not sharing your dinner with clingy and grabby children! While this isn’t the most creative, every mom can find a restaurant they’ve been wanting to try and enjoy a few hours of food. Nothing restores the soul like a great meal with friends.

2. Wine & Painting

A great way to spend your evening is to learn something new and be artistic. There are tons of studios these days that offer affordable painting classes and will teach you how to replicate a famous piece of artwork, all while enjoying some adult beverages! You get the added bonus of having a personalized piece of art for your home. Check Groupon for specials in your local area!

3. Concert

Relive your youth and catch a concert in your area. Make it even better by finding a band that you listened to before you had kids for some extra nostalgia. If you were into 90’s grunge, dress the part and don’t forget your flannel. If you loved ska (I know, I’m dating myself here), wear your old creepers! Whatever you decide, you’ll enjoy some music that brings back great memories as you create new ones with your mom friends.
