7. Remove Sticker Residue
Has you child gone rogue and emptied the contents of the entire sticker book on your dresser? Or maybe you are trying to remove some price tags from a new item you found at Home Goods (WHY do they always put the sticker in the middle!)? Apply olive oil generously to the sticker and let it work in. After several minute (depending on the size of your sticker and the material its stuck to), you should be able to peel it off in one piece AND not have any sticky mess left behind.
8. Get Rid of Squeaky Hinges
Squeaky hinges are super annoying, and something olive oil can handle on your behalf. You can either use a spray based olive oil (think cooking spray) or apply the liquid version into your noisy door hinges. Work it in by opening and closing the door until you don’t hear squeaks anymore, and get back to peace and quiet!
9. Shoe Polish
Don’t waste money taking your husbands shoes to a shoe polisher, and never deal with a headache from potent shoe polish again. Olive oil is a wonderful alternative! Just like with conditioning your leather coats and bags, work a small amount of olive oil with a soft cloth onto your leather shoes. Rub any excess off, and you’re left with gorgeous shoes again.
