1. Visit A Local Farm

No matter where you live there is most likely a local farm either in your city or in a surrounding city that that has a working farm. If it’s not open to the public, you can try contacting the owner and asking if they would be willing to show your sweet little kiddos their farm animals. Your kids might get the chance to see chicks, sheep, cows, pigs, and more. They’ll enjoy seeing the animals first hand and seeing how a real farm works.

2. Visit A Local Arboretum

If you want a break from taking your child to the normal park you frequent on a regular basis, look up a local arboretum or garden in your surrounding area. There will be many more plants and flowers to show your children and possibly even a lake or pond that may have fish in them. You can take the opportunity to expose your kids to beautiful scenery where they can learn more about plants and wildlife.

3. Visit The Library

The library is often forgotten about in our day in age. With the internet so easily available, we don’t often think about visiting the library. There are many wonderful things for kids at the library. They have an endless amount of books to look at as well as story times and summer book clubs that your kids can join. They can check out the books and take them home to keep them entertained there as well.
