When the time came to ditch the diaper bag, I jumped for joy. I never liked toting around a huge bag, but was still surprised that even though I now have a five-year-old, we still cart around a lot of stuff! Now that we are involved in school and sports, it turns out I still need a decent bag that’s both functional and stylish. Just as we signed up for the upcoming summer swim team (that requires tons of swim accessories!), one of my favorite companies released a baby line- Baby by Thirty One!

Thirty One is already the go-to source for durable and stylish totes, backpacks, purses, home decor and now baby––and all with the ability to be personalized. The new baby line isn’t just for families with infants. Sure, there are some seriously adorable diaper bags, bottle thermals, baby caddies and even whimsical pillow designs for the nursery. But it’s also for those of us with big kids too!

I tried out a classic style that is now included in the Baby by Thirty One line- the Zip Top Organizing Utility Tote in the new pattern of Geo Adventure. For a bag on the smaller side, it packs tons of storage!

The bag boasts three front pockets and two pockets on the opposite side. Because the inner section doesn’t contain any pockets, these are vital. The center pocket is a bit larger and perfect for multiple items.

Each side of the tote has a mesh pocket. For us, this is the place for wet goggles and shower products that can dry out easily.

To keep everything snug, there is a high quality zipper on top. The zipper does not completely enclose the interior of the bag- there is a gap on both sides. For us, this is perfect because we will be toting wet towels and swim caps!

How big is that storage compartment! I love that it’s large, but still structured enough that the bag doesn’t feel like a black hole. Because of the exterior pockets, it means all of our necessities stay organized without getting buried under each other.

To show you exactly how much fits in this incredible bag, here’s a sample of what we pack on a daily basis. We bring a full-size beach towel, head towel, goggles, shower supplies, shoes and a full set of clothes. It’s not a weekend amount of stuff, but it’s still a lot!

I try and use as many of the exterior pockets as possible to minimize the mess inside. The outside pockets are large enough to contain a size of 11-12 sandals, the rolled head towel, a bottle of water, glasses and other small items.

Here’s a shot of the mesh pockets in use. I love these because they are large, but also stretchy so they can fit larger items then the front and rear canvas pockets. Plus, like I mentioned they are perfect for wet objects!

The full-sized beach towel fits perfectly when rolled up, and all our clothes rest easily inside. As you can see, the bag is only half full! Plenty of room for extras or for multiple kiddos stuff!

In case you’re wondering how large this bag feels, it is a near perfect size. It’s not so small that nothing fits, but it’s also not a large cavernous tote that gets weighed down and is heavy to carry. When I sling it on my shoulder, it hits my waist. The straps are a perfect length so the bag is not shoved up under your arm pit, but not so long the bag bangs on your hip when walking. Real life photo for you!

The new Baby by Thirty One line has tons of new prints, but more importantly new products that are geared towards families with babies! If you want to shop Thirty One, head over to our favorite consultant’s page, Morgan, or reach out on Facebook!

I received this tote for free in exchange for an honest review. All expressed opinions are true and my own.
