Kids love and thrive on routine, and parents benefit when our kids gain their independence, especially with basic chores and tasks. When school rolls around, mornings can prove hectic if we have to do everything in the morning. Despite the potential for things to take longer when we let our kids get dressed and go about their hygiene routine on their own, we are instilling ownership in them that is very valuable. Kids are often visual learners and that’s why I love the idea of using routine checklists to help hold them accountable for getting ready in the morning and for bed at night. We’ve created some free printables that we hope will help keep both you and your kids on track for the day. Print, laminate or put in a frame and use with dry erase markers and your day is already smoothing out.
