1. The Wizard of Oz (1939)
One of the most classic stories of all time, this musical fantasy film about the farmer girl who went over the rainbow is always a hit with new generations. A tornado shakes her Kansas farm home, and Dorothy (and her little dog, too!) finds herself some interesting friends and cool pair of ruby red slippers in a colorful land that only dreams are made of. With the help of her new friends, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy will stop at nothing for a chance to meet the Wizard of Oz. The film received critical acclaim when it opened at the box office, and more than 70 years later, it is still appreciated for it’s heartwarming message and magical story line.
