4. Keep a Pen or Marker Handy
Sometimes you put a tupperware of half a can of chicken broth in your fridge and then can’t remember how long it’s been in there. Rather than doing the sniff test and risk passing out, use an erasable marker to write the date on your plastic ware that it was opened. That way you know you aren’t potentially using foul broth (no pun intended) and don’t clutter your fridge with expired food. If you don’t have an erasable marker, then simply write the date on a piece of tape and affix to your tupperware. Voila!
