4. You Get What You Pay For
If you want to find and keep a reliable sitter, it’s going to cost you. You don’t need to spend more than your date night, but sitters who feel appreciated by a good paycheck are going to want to come back and work hard. You shouldn’t expect a reliable and trustworthy sitter to hang around for a $5 an hour, although I’m sure some exist! But most likely it’s not the norm. Older sitters, such as late high school or college aged most likely provide the best paid work, as opposed to early teens.
