2. Baltic Amber
If you’ve been anywhere near babies lately, you’ve probably seen a few sporting some amber jewelry. Long known as an alternative to medicine, baltic amber is a fossilized resin that releases a succinic acid when it’s warmed (i.e. when it’s touching the body). This acid is a natural anti-inflammatory and helps relieve pain, which is why so many moms are snatching these up. Be sure you are buying a certified grade necklace, and that it’s safety knotted between beads to ensure no accidental choking should a bead come loose.

3. Teething Mittens
When baby is in pain, he’s going to chew on whatever is closest to him and that’s most likely going to be his hands. Teething mittens are often made to be waterproof, ensuring all that drool stays away from your little one’s hands and wicking away the moisture off their face to keep dry skin at bay.

4. Essential Oils
Essential oils are becoming increasingly popular for treatment of a variety of ailments in a natural way. It’s important to note that if you are new to oils, you should always consult a qualified professional to instruct you in the safe way to use and administer oils. Essential oils should never be used undiluted (i.e. with out mixing with a carrier oil) on children. Lavender and Roman Chamomile are 2 safe oils that can be blended with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil, and applied to the jawline on the OUTSIDE of your little one’s cheek to bring some teething relief.
