Never one to let a holiday go by without a special manicure, I’m always on the prowl for new designs to celebrate. This is the first year I’ve thought to actually dedicate a mani to the kids going back to school, probably because I have a daughter heading to preschool (waaaaah). While the kids are getting new clothes and backpacks to signify returning to class, why not do a festive mani for yourself?
1. Notepaper
Don’t you just love the smell of new notebook paper and freshly sharpened pencils? You probably won’t be taking many notes, but your nails will give you all the feels when it comes to a new page in life. This simple notebook page design is definitely school-worthy.
2. Apple For The Teacher
Teachers and parents alike can sport this simple yet iconic design. Nothing says a teacher like an apple, right? With such a basic style, anyone can pull off both creating and wearing this mani.
3. Time For Math
Wow, this mani actually makes you think, much like your high school geometry class! You’ve definitely got a little bit of everything going on here, and there’s no denying this manicure is all about class.
4. Passing Notes
Now THIS is a memory I have from school. All it’s missing is a paper fortune teller, am I right? Not only is this a fab mani for yourself, but it would be fun to do with your high school daughter as well.
5. Fresh Pencils
Pencils are a universal icon when it comes to school and that’s why this mani is a shoe-in for a great back to school design.
6. You’ve Got Chemistry
It’s no longer nerdy to be smart, and you’ll have to have brains to interpret the abbreviations on this mani! Grab your Periodic Table Of Elements to figure out just what your nails are trying to say!
7. Put On Your Uniform
This manicure definitely takes me back to my Catholic high school days! Celebrate saving money on school clothes with this uniform-inspired design.
8. Preschool Days
Since my little one isn’t exactly heading back to geometry, this crayon design is more our speed! Summer never ends with a preschool, because there’s just as much painting, playing and getting messy in school!
9. English Class
I’ve heard they no longer call it English class, but Language Arts? What is happening in the world today! Either way, this book-inspired design is both classy and festive! Even if you don’t have a school-aged child, this mani will instantly make you look more learned.
