One of the things that many women look forward to when they’re expecting a baby is a cute maternity photo session that will show off their pregnancy glow. There are so many amazing photographers that capture the essence of pregnancy, but there are just as many who come up with some pretty bad ideas. The photos we’ve found definitely don’t capture the beauty of having a baby. They mostly leaving us scratching our heads saying, “What were they thinking?”

1. Mr. Ed
I definitely wouldn’t let a horse lick my belly if I wasn’t pregnant, so I’m not sure why that sounded like a good idea if you are? All I can say is this woman must really love her pet horse.

2. Before & After
There are many cute before and after pregnancy photos, with the mom gently holding her newborn against her belly. I’m sure this was the look this couple was going for, but holding your baby underneath a mesh shirt doesn’t have the same effect. And why isn’t dad wearing a shirt?

3. Super Imposed
This photo is wrong on so many levels, I don’t even know where to begin! It reminds me those glamour shots that were really popular in the 90’s, but way more creepy. This woman even took it to the next level by not only having a person super imposed on her belly, but a grown man! I sure hope that wasn’t an indication of what was to come during labor and delivery.
