There’s no rule that says you have to wear fall colors in the fall, or summer colors during the summer. But I think it’s great to stay “in season” with your wardrobe if you can. Sometimes bright colors or pastels can look odd during the fall, because we’re not used to seeing those hues this time of year. However, I won’t judge you if you stray from seasonal colors. But I hope you’ll at least check these fall colored looks out before you decide on your next outfit.

1. Camel & Oxblood
Two of the richest, most delicious fall colors are camel and oxblood. Both are found during fall in the fashion and food worlds. Combining them is even more amazing, and creates a fall look that is cozy and chic.
I love the way these two colors were put together on Somewhere, Lately.

2. Brown & Orange
Nothing makes me crave pumpkin pie and chocolate quite like seeing brown and orange together. Choosing varying shades of each color in the same outfit is a great way to add dimension to your look.

3. Plaid Blanket Scarf
Fall colors aren’t the only element you can incorporate into your outfit to get a seasonal look. Fall prints like plaid will also do the trick. If you’ve got a comfy orange sweater, throw a matching plaid scarf over it to take your look up a notch.

4. Wine & Stripes
I know you love wine (the drink), but don’t you also love wine (the color)? It’s such a fun color to wear, and it adds a feminine touch to any outfit. Pair a wine colored hat and bag with a striped shirt to get a “preppy chic” look for fall.

5. Brown On Brown
If you prefer neutral colors over bolder ones, brown is a “safe” fall color to wear. Mix it with different textures and prints to create a more balanced look. Use a brown monochrome outfit as your base, and add to it with non-brown pieces.
