My daughter is starting preschool in the fall and while I’m still trying to avoid thinking about it too hard, it goes without saying that I have some preparation to do. Aside from getting my mind used to the idea of my one and only baby becoming a big girl, I actually have to start planning her snacks and lunches in advance. You know, instead of rustling around in the pantry or fridge on an as-needed basis. I’m a sucker for gadgets and gizmos that make stuff fun, so I came up with this list that is going to take your school lunch making to the next level.

1. FunBites Shaped Food Cutters

Food is always more fun to eat when it looks cool, especially for kids. Surprise the kiddos with fun shaped sandwiches and fruit by using these awesome FunBites food cutters! Not only will they make lunch and snacks more special, but they will cut down on prep time. No more chopping each sandwich into 20 pieces by hand!

2. Sustainable Juice Boxes

Tired of buying expensive juice boxes that only end up in a landfill? Now you don’t have to, because sustainable juice boxes are here to stay. You can make whatever flavor juice box you need, and more importantly, water it down as much as you want to cut back on sugar! These boxes are BPA free, come in fun colors and help save the environment. Just remember to teach the kids to bring them back home, not toss them in the trash!

Is it s spoon or a fork? No, it’s a spork, and that makes it perfect for lunches. Don’t worry about tossing in the wrong utensil, or multiples to accommodate that pasta and pudding. These reusable sporks are great for double duty and won’t take up much room.
