4. Live Garlands
One of the trademarks of true farmhouse decor is the use of live greenery (or at least, really alive-looking faux greenery). This garland is wrapped in burlap, another farmhouse must, and then accented with rustic looking letters spelling “joy.” Old books and candles just further this farmhouse feel, don’t you think?

5. Pot O’ Birch
Decorating for Christmas doesn’t have to be expensive, especially when it comes to the farmhouse look which uses lots of natural and wood elements. This designer simply accessorized by adding a few branches of birch (the official tree of the farmhouse style) into a porcelain vase, and adding greenery and some lights. It would be a great addition to your entryway, or next to a sideboard. Easy peasy!

6. Mudroom Vignette
Farmhouse and vintage go hand in hand. This mudroom creates a fun holiday vignette, by including tons of fun elements, like the vintage pickup truck toting a Christmas tree, the holiday-themed and oversized Scrabble tiles, wooden sign, canned greenery and basket of natural elements. Who says your mudroom has to be boring anyways?
