As soon as your children are old enough to play with other kids, your social life becomes a whirlwind of the park and play dates. At some point, the play date host role will likely fall to you. If you’re like me, the thought of hundreds of children (ok, maybe not THAT many) terrorizing your house is overwhelming. Check out our list of ways to host a group play date that will help relieve stress and be fun for the kiddos.
1. Have a Start and End Time
Having a definitive beginning and end time will not only lift pressure of a marathon play date off your shoulders, but it will help other parents plan around meal and nap times. Most play dates work well mid morning, before that cranky kid gets too close to their nap time. If you’re worried of people overstaying their welcome, let everyone know at the start that you have an appointment after the group so there won’t be stragglers.
