Granola bars are a perfect on the go snack. You can throw them in your purse, kids snack bag or even stash a few in the car for emergencies. The only problem is the store bought ones are often full of tons of sugar, and the healthy ones are super expensive! Since granola bars a super easy make yourself and you can pack them full of healthy ingredients, I’ve rounded up some of my go-to recipes, The best part about making them yourself is the fact you can omit anything you don’t like and replace it with something you love!

1. 5 Ingredient Granola Bars
These super simple bars are just 5 ingredients, and they don’t require oven time. All you need is, quick oats, almond (or any nut butter), sliced almonds, mini chocolate chips (can be substituted for dried fruit) and honey. Combine all ingredients in bowl then pour into lined 8×8 pan and place in freezer for 45 minutes – 1 hour. Voila, you are done. I love the idea of cutting them up into little bite sized snacks too!

2. Dark Chocolate Granola Bars
Ok, the dark chocolate isn’t the healthiest but if you are going to eat chocolate, go dark, right? You can leave the chocolate off the back of the bars and just drizzle it on top to make them a little bit healthier. Ok, with that out of the way, these really are delicious and you can jam pack them full of whatever goodness you like!
