Every parent wants a loving family and home for their children, but some parents don’t always make the best decisions. Twelve years ago, Daniel, a social worker in New York City thought he saw a baby doll laying in a subway station. Upon further inspection, he saw that it was actually a newborn baby, with his umbilical cord still attached! Unable to let the baby out of his mind, Daniel and his partner tracked the baby through the court system. They were still surprised when the presiding judge asked if he and his partner wanted to adopt Kevin as their own son. Watch the video below to see this amazing story!
What an amazing ending to what could have been a tragic event. Kevin is so lucky to have parents that have loved him since the day he was born, despite the circumstances! If you ever find yourself in the shoes of Kevin’s biological mother, please know there are programs where you can safely surrender your baby.
