If you love what you do, it doesn’t matter how old you are. Trudie Hughes retired 7 years ago, but she hasn’t slowed down one bit since entering into retirement. Now that she has more time on her hands, she’s decided to take her love of quilting to good use, and serves a Milwaukee area children’s shelter called La Causa Crisis Nursery, by making nearly 60 quilts a month. To her, working 7 days a week and 10 hours a day is nothing. According to Trudie, she loves what she’s doing and she wants to dedicate her time for the children at the shelter. She is such an inspiring woman! Click the video below and be inspired by her story!
I’d wager that many of us don’t have her energy, and we are far younger than 70 years old! She is such a great example of how you can use your skills no matter your age, and always be able to help a fellow human being. I wonder how many quilts she’s made in her lifetime!
