Walt Disney has the market cornered when it comes to animated films that the world loves a million times over. No one can compete with the gorgeous visuals, heartwarming tales and the classic music that evoke wonderful memories whenever we hear them. Well, it turns out there may be a reason that we love so many classic Disney movies! Apparently, animators often reused the same dance and action sequences in many of their movies. Instead of recreating a scene, artists would just draw over cells with new characters, a process known as “rotoscoping.” Watch this amazing video that’s put together to demonstrate how so many of our favorite films have so much in common.
I had no idea that rotoscoping was an actual process! I guess if you have an award winning film, you may as well go with what works! I’d imagine you’d be hard pressed to find a child who would notice, too. What did you think of this video? Does it change the way you view some of these classic films?
