As a server, receiving tips is part of the job and a way for diners to complement your service. Clair Hidson, a waitress at Mac’s Grub Shak in Spring Hill didn’t expect to receive a very special tip one day, and it left her in tears. It was an ordinary day for her until one of her customers left her a $36 tip, on a $28 bill. Moved by such a generous tip on a small bill, she was even more astonished at the hand written note on the back. It said “Today is my brother’s b-day. He would have been 36 today. Every year I go eat his favorite meal (hot dogs) and tip the waitress his age. Happy B-day Wes.” Click the video below and watch this amazing diner story!
