While technology is definitely something that can help bring families across the world together, it can also separate many of us, even in the same room. It can be so easy to become addicted to checking our texts, emails and social media. It’s simple to hand our fussy toddler the iPad to entertain themselves. And it can be even more difficult to pull each other away from our devices to just sit down and spend face to face time with each other. The makers of this video decided to show what would happen if there was a device that simply disabled all of our televisions, devices and even WiFi with a simple turn- of a pepper mill, that is! Watch and see what happens when a little pepper hacker comes between these people and their dinner!
While we can’t be sure if this pepper mill exists or if it’s even possible, I think this video is just as amazing because it shows just how important it is for us to put down our devices. All of our social media and entertainment can wait. Spending quality time without the hindrances of technology is something we can all use a little bit more often.
