10. You Dread Snow Days
If there is even one drop of snow in the south, the city shuts down. The schools close, people don’t leave the house unless they have to, and the shelves at grocery stores go empty because everyone stocks up on bread, milk and water. For moms, that means spending the day (or several) cooped up inside with your children, who have lots of energy to burn.

Many families have pets like dogs or cats, but in the south, farm animals are a large part of people’s lifestyles. Some are considered pets and some are bred to become food. No matter what their purpose, southern children are very familiar with animals that live on ranches and farms.
