4. Clean Your Washing Machine With One Ingredient
The washing machine is one of the last things we think about cleaning because it’s a machine that cleans other things! Who would ever think it needs a good cleaning too? Well, as it turns out, it is a good idea to clean your washing machine every few months or about twice a year. Don’t worry it’s really simple and easy to do. All you need is vinegar! Yep, just one ingredient mixed with hot water from the washing machine will do the job.

5. Use The Dishwasher To Clean Floor And Ceiling Vents
I know I have never once thought about cleaning the floor and ceiling vents in my home until I started writing this article and I honestly don’t know why. They do get pretty dirty with all the dust that builds up on them over time and if that dust isn’t cleaned off it just gets pushed out into your air. Yuck! A simple and easy way to clean these is by throwing them in the dishwasher. Make sure that they are some kind of metal before putting them in there. You don’t want to melt any plastic ones or warp any wood ones. Also, do not use any kind of detergent or soap on these, just use water and when the cycle is done immediately remove them and make sure to completely dry them off so they don’t rust.

6. Make Your Grout White Again
If you’ve ever had to clean grout before you know how awful and difficult it can be. It seems like no matter what cleaning solution you use, it doesn’t get it clean! There is, however, a secret solution that cleans that dirty grout in no time and very easily. All you need is some baking soda and cleaning vinegar. Make sure to get cleaning vinegar, not just regular vinegar, as it has a higher acidic content, which cleans more effectively. Simply put the baking soda on the grout then spray some vinegar on it and let it bubble and sit for a few minutes. Don’t let it sit too long, though, as the dirt will settle back into the grout if you do. Then take a brush and scrub that grout and it will immediately turn white again. No more dirty looking floors!
