
4. Read As Much As You Can
Get some books or do some research online about pregnancy. Figure out what to expect over the next nine months of your life as your baby grows inside your belly. You’ll want to know what foods you can and cannot eat, how to manage pains associated with pregnancy like leg cramps, braxton hicks contractions, and heartburn, and so on. Learn as much as you can so you’ll know how to handle all the situations that come your way over the next few months.

5. Check Your Medications
Chances are if you’re taking any kind of medication that you may not be able to take them while pregnant. There are many medications that can be harmful to growing babies, so you’ll want to check with your doctor to make sure you can continue taking them or if you have to have new ones prescribed.

6. Find A Workout Plan
You’ll want to be as healthy as possible while being pregnant, so find a workout plan that will help you do this. Obviously you’ll want to clear this with your doctor first to make sure it is safe for you to exercise. There are many pregnancy workout DVDs that are made specifically for pregnant women. You can also go on regular walks or go swimming. Just make sure to get in some exercise so you can stay fit and healthy for your little one. It will also help with labor when the time comes as your body will be stronger and more able to handle the stress that comes from labor.
