Adding to your family is both exciting and overwhelming, especially for siblings. Involving them from the start is a key way to make sure your kids feel included and excited about raising their new baby brother or sister. Not only can your older kids feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment by helping you out, but they can even help develop and refine some of their own fine motor skills as well! 1. Retrieve Diapers, Wipes and Paci’s
With a new baby around, your hands will always be full. Let your older kids help out by bringing you items you need when you can’t do it all. If you find yourself changing an explosive diaper downstairs without any supplies, send the kids on your behalf. They will love helping you in a time of need!
