1. Hot Potato (Water Ballon Style)

Who doesn’t love a good game of hot potato? Probably you and your kids in the heat of summer! Make it a much more refreshing game by just using water balloons. Sit the kids in a circle and crank up some tunes. Stop the music to stop play, and whoever is caught left with the balloon or whoever breaks it is out! You can even make it a rule that the loser has to pop the balloon on their head for some extra fun.

2. Water Balloon Relay

Relay races always keep kids busy and give them some physical activity at the same time. Create a game where each person has to carry the water balloon to the “end zone” and then sit on the balloon and pop it. Then their relay partner can being their leg of the race with a new balloon. If they break the balloon before they get to the end, they have to go back and get a new one!

3. Paint Fight

If you’re not afraid of a little mess (ok, a BIG mess) then try out a good ole water balloon paint fight! Mix up some washable (or non washable if you’re gutsy) paint with water and then fill up your balloons. Get everyone some white T-shirts and let the water balloon fight begin! Your kids will LOVE making a mess, and being artistic on each other’s shirts at the same time.
