4. Put on a Puppet Show
You know why children’s YouTube channels are so popular? Because kids love a good show. They love to laugh, to create, and if they can enjoy doing those things with their parents, that’s even better. Not only will you both have a great time hanging out, you’ll grow closer too. Something as simple as finger puppets or sock puppets is all you need for a fun afternoon.
5. Look at the Stars
You can tell your children about planets and constellations all you want, but the real learning comes from showing them. If you have a telescope, awesome, teach them how it works. If not, just lie down on the ground with them and have them look up at the stars. Ask your littlest tots to count how many there are as a way to work on counting skills while making memories together.
6. Have a Photo Shoot
In this day of selfies that we live in, our children are enjoying the art of photography too. But don’t go buy them a selfie stick just yet. Instead, go somewhere scenic and take turns snapping shots of each other. Try silly poses, get some candids and get the photos printed so your child can see their work come to life.
