15 Hacks Every Mom Needs To Know!

Moms don’t have a ton of time so any minute we can save is a huge plus. Sometimes it’s the simple things that can really help relieve stress so we can focus on what we love most: our kids! We hope you find some amazing “hacks” below!

1. Nail Polish on Your House Keys

Like most people, you probably have a keychain full of keys for a variety of doors. Save yourself the time and money of having your keys remade with those fancy designs from the hardware store and just paint them using different colored nail polish. It’s also a good way to put some of that nail polish to good use (since who has time to actually paint their nails!?)!

This nifty idea was found at HomeDit.com, a home and architectural design website. Check it out for even more ideas on your bathroom, kitchen, and office!

2. Nylons to Remove Deodorant Stains

There’s nothing more frustrating then putting on a clean shirt, only to see those white streaks covering your torso from deodorant! Water seems to do the trick- until it dries and you see it’s still there. Put your hand inside a pair of nylons and rub the area until the deodorant magically comes off! This is perfect for delicate fabrics, such as silk, that wrinkle when they touch water.

3. Hang up Your Scarves

We ladies need our accessories, but sometimes they can start to take over our closet.  Instead of leaving scarves on a shelf, box, or the floor, hang them on a hanger or rod to keep them organized. You may actually  remember to wear them!

4. Pack Your Shoes in a Shower Cap

Does anyone else like to confiscate all the free toiletries from hotels like I do? I usually end up not using them, but this use of a shower cap is fabulous. When traveling, wrap your shoes in an old shower cap to keep your clothes clean. No shower cap? A Ziploc or grocery bag works too!

5. Use a Staple Remove to Add Keys to your Ring

Not only is it difficult to add a key to your key ring in the first place, it’s especially difficult to do it without pinching a finger or ripping a nail. Use a staple remove to open the key ring and slide your keys right now!
