5. Pregnant Women Should Eat for 2
You knew it was to good to be true- eating twice as much food as you normally do is just not healthy for you or your baby. On average, a woman should only eat about 300 extra calories a day, depending on any special medical conditions you may have. Eating too much can cause extra weight gain, decrease your ability to be mobile and exercise properly, and thus slow down your labor when the time comes. Not to mention, you may be at higher risk for gestational diabetes and then regular diabetes down the road. Eat until you’re full and try and snack on fruits and veggies when you feel extra hungry. Your baby will thank you!
