1. Hexagon Side Table
For a design that is unique and adds a fun dose of shape to your room, I love the idea of a hexagon table! With copper pipe legs and an oak top, this modern looking side table is an easy way to add texture and shine to a boring corner. Top with books, candles or small plants for an added boost of personality.

2. Brass Side Tables
Most of the metals in my home are in a brass finish. I prefer the darker tone to lighter ones like gold or chrome. And when you combine brass with a wooden texture, you get an even more stylish piece of decor. These brass side tables can be made using aluminum sheet metal, wood rounds, wood stain and spray paint. These tables would look great as a set of two, or as a single side table.

3. Milk Jug Side Table
A vintage milk jug can become a very stylish piece of decor when designed well. I like the idea of putting one somewhere like a screened in back porch or next to a swinging bench on a front porch. Top it with a wood round to create a place to set your coffee cup or display an outdoor plant or other decorative items.

4. Wire Basket Side Table
If your home decor is modern and fun, a wire basket side table just might be the perfect addition to your home. This yellow ombre version is fabulous! But the great thing about a white basket is that you can spray paint it any color(s) you want. If your children are old enough that the likelihood of them ruining your white tabletop is slim, white can create a very clean looking space. But if your kiddos are still small mess makers, it might be a good idea to paint the top of the table too.

5. Copper & Wood Side Table
Copper is slated to be one of the biggest design trends in 2017. And if you’ve got access to natural tree wood, you can pair it with the copper for a trendy table that will make a country-style home look amazing. (You can also purchase wood on Amazon if you like the idea but don’t have a way to get it locally.) Use two sizes of wood slices if you want your table to have more dimension, or just do one on top. Add plants for an outdoorsy look.

6. Mesh & Mirror Side Table
You know what’s cooler than a side table? A side table with a mirror as the tabletop! Even though you won’t use the mirror like you would a traditional mirror, it’s such a sophisticated way to add a touch of glam. Using mesh as a table base is definitely easy, and will tone down the table so the focus stays on the reflective surface. You could even display this in a hallway or entryway where guests gather.
