Nobody likes an itchy bug bite, especially mothers with kids who have them! Not only are your children in pain, but bug bites are just plain unsightly. If you find yourself without calamine lotion or just want to take a more home remedy approach, check out our list to take care of those bites.
1. Lavender Oil
Essential oils are growing in popularity, especially among mothers, for their natural approach to healing all types of ailments. Lavender oil is one of the most versatile oils and is very handy for bug bites. It can be applied “neat” (not diluted with a carrier oil) or combined with tea tree oil and rubbed on the bite area for quick relief.
