I have always been a HUGE fan of desserts and was born with an overactive sweet tooth. Growing up, my grandma would always create fun, just-for-kids desserts for me and my siblings. One of my favorites was monster toast we painted with food coloring and would douse in butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Any opportunity to throw together sugar, vanilla, and candy bits, I’m IN!

4. Mud Pudding
This was and is one of my favorite desserts! Vanilla pudding is easy to make and all you need to do is add cookie crumbles and bury gummy words into the Oreo “dirt.” As a kid, I loved unburying and pretending to eat the worms! Now I just love the chocolatey taste of the pudding and Oreos mixed together.

6. Mermaid Ice Cream
Superman ice cream was popular, but now mermaid ice cream is taking over! You see, mermaids are as trendy as unicorns right now, and your kids will want to jump on the bandwagon! Whip together heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk and some vanilla extract. To make it “mermaid ice cream,” split the mixture into 4 bowls and mix in food coloring like teal and purple in several shades. For all the details on this recipe, check out homemadeinterest.com.
