How to Celebrate Your Kid’s Birthday Without a Party

Event organization is a stressful business, especially when you want to organize a birthday for your child. Space, decoration, invitations, the cake, the outfits, the activities, and the present for your kid – it’s a lot. Additionally, the situation the world is in for the last few years is not helping at all. The organization of the birthday party even became a health risk. And, in the end, you can never know who will not show up or how can other children affect the birthday boy or girl.

Instead, why wouldn’t you do something else? Something different, something your child will not expect even? Here are some examples of unusual birthday celebrations.

A place they love

This sounds easy in your head, but have you considered how many times you were asked to go to that special place? Whatever your child’s favorite place might be, you just might fulfill that wish. The hero parent title will be guaranteed for a while, and you also may find out something new about your child’s interests.

Amusement Park

The classic that never gets old! The amusement park is guaranteed fun that lasts all day long. Between many rides, there are at least a few restaurants in the park where you can eat and the stores with fun memorabilia. Do not forget to check out photo boots where you can take one-of-a-kind themed pictures!

Zoo or aquarium

Which kid, or even grown-up, doesn’t like animals and getting to know about wildlife? A magnificent experience and a real-life encyclopedia will guarantee your child’s satisfaction for the months upfront. The petting zoo could be a special cuddly treat or a photo with a silly sea lion.

Museum

The museum doesn’t need to be boring. Nowadays, many museums are implementing digitalized and interactive attractions that are especially interesting to the younger generations. Some even organize visits with a personal guide that could prepare the route according to your child’s interests.

Movies

Another one that, seemingly a safe choice, can have a great outcome! Load up on movie treats like popcorn, or go wild with pop tarts and other sweet delights.

Sports day

Take your kid to a sports event. If they have a favorite sport or club, they will enjoy watching it done professionally. Furthermore, if you take them to a training day or if you try it out together, there will be more bonding moments for your family. Go to a makeup artist for a face painting session to prepare and you’re ready for the day!

Camping

Whenever you are talking to your child about your childhood, it is not always easy to let them feel your experience. So why not take them to your childhood camping spot? The wilderness is full of thrills and new experiences. And who knows? You just might find your new family activity!

Be tourists for a day

Even if you still live and have grown up in the same city, did you ever consider exploring it from the tourist’s perspective? Check organized local tours and book one for your family or go with a bigger group. You are guaranteed to find something new and change your opinion about your home.

Make dinner for the family together

Modern living got us all concentrated mostly on work and earning at the expense of private time. So why not give you all a whole from scratch family dinner? Buy the aprons for each member and go to the kitchen!

Spa day

Have a chill day together. Relax, go to the spa and get some nice masks or stay at home, turn on your favorite season of “Sex and the City”, put the masks on, lather your feet in cream and forget about everything.

Do a project

It is possible that you want to make some changes to your home. You know, the small ones. Why don’t you incorporate your children and make the new décor together? Make some stickers for their furniture, hang new photos in the living room or rearrange the kitchen to fit in their favorite mugs as a part of décor.

Photography session

Birthdays are just one of the many little family celebrations, but since they happen each year, we may forget just how important they are. Put in the fun to the family photos and book a themed photography session for your family. The silly moments will have you all laugh for years to come.

Have them plan out a day

The hard and busy day can make a parent say ‘no’ to their children sometimes just because they are tired. Parents’ emotional health plays a big role in the emotional and psychological development of their children. So, try to keep a positive mood for their birthday and make it a ‘yes day’. Enjoy your time with them, they grow up fast!
