4. Manual Pump
So, this might seem kinda pointless seen as you have a fancy double electric pump that you are hauling back and forth everyday, but take it from someone who learned the hard way. On the rare occasion that you don’t have it all together and you forgot that one little part that is apparently necessary to make the pump work, you’ll need a back up. You don’t want to be running to Target on your lunch break rushing to find either the missing part or buy a manual pump anyways, to relieve the pain. And trust me, just waiting til you get home isn’t an option!

5. Burp Cloth or Small Towel
You may have left the baby at home, but it’s basically necessary to keep a burp cloth handy the whole time you are pumping because, well, its messy and the last thing you want is to have milk stains on your clothes and ruining your fancy work outfit. I liked to keep it across my lap as I was pumping, then I would use it to freshen up once I was done.

6. Cooler Bag
If you have a long commute to and from work you will want to make sure you have an cooler bag and ice packs to keep your liquid gold safe on your journeys. I was able to store my milk in the office fridge, but I preferred to keep it out of eyesight in my lunch bag so I didn’t gross any one out by keeping “bodily fluids” next to their microwavable burrito, because thats a total appetite killer, right?
