There’s two things women hate most: wearing a revealing swimsuit and taking pictures in said swimsuit. It’s certainly very nerve racking having to wear a swimsuit when you don’t feel comfortable in your skin and in your body. I think all women struggle with some sort of body image whether they feel too fat, too skinny, too pale, too short, etc. It’s so refreshing to see hundreds of videos and articles floating around the internet that empower women of all shapes and sizes and make them feel better about themselves. This video does just that. It’s saddening to see how uncomfortable these women were when knowing they had to take photos in the same swimsuits as Victoria’s Secret models. However, it was encouraging to see how they felt after they saw the pictures side by side. Watch the video to see the surprising result of the experiment.
I love that each one of these women were able to find the silver lining in something that was so daunting and scary for them. They realized that even though they are not Victoria’s Secret models, that they are still beautiful in their own way. I hope that with more of these kinds of videos women and young girls will start to understand that no matter what shape or size you are, you are still beautiful.
