The world is made of up of millions of people, all beautiful with our different interests, appearances and beliefs. Many years ago, individuals with disabilities or who appeared different from us were not always treated with love and respect. But we are making so many advances medically and socially, that our perceptions are changing for the better. Lacey Parker is a young girl with Down Syndrome and she has a dream of becoming a cheerleader, like her sisters. She’s recently tried out to join the cheer squad at her school, and this video shows the moment when she learns if she makes the team. It’s adorable and a must watch!
Doesn’t this video make you feel great!? It makes me so happy to see people accepting others, even as young as little Lacey. It sets a great precedence for her being able to reach all her dreams as she grows up. Go Lacey!
