It’s no secret that as humans we often times judge people by how they look on the outside. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s okay. We all know the saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” This same logic applies to judging humans by how they look. Once you get to know a person you really start to understand who they are and what they stand for.
Coca-Cola decided to test this out in an experiment where they placed six strangers in a dark room to meet for the first time. Since they couldn’t see each other they couldn’t make any judgements based on how one another looked. They could only go off of what they learned by talking to the other people. Watch their surprise when the lights come on and they see who is really in front of them.
What these six men learned is truly a life lesson that every human being should take to heart. It’s not okay to judge other people or to place labels on someone. Everyone looks and is different, and that’s okay. It’s our hope that we can all be a little more accepting of one another.
