#2 – A Thousand Words
Just as the age-old adage says, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Sometimes, just a small and simple gesture, like a photograph, can make someone’s whole day. Get creative and have a “Father’s Day” photo-shoot and take some snapshots with the kids and their dad, blow it up to a larger size, grab a frame, and you have a beautifully simple gift.

#3 – Walk In Your Shoes
Grandpa’s and dad’s alike will treasure this beautiful keepsake. All you need is some paint and paper, plus the kids will love it too! Have the kids dip their feet in the paint, and put their footprint on the paper. Write a sweet message about filling daddy’s shoes, or walking alongside him. Cue the hugs.

This is such a fun idea for those dad’s who have a sweet tooth! Put together a “card,” really a giant poster-board, fill it with his favorite candies and sweet treats, and write a letter to him with the candy being the words thrown in here and there!

#6 – Back-Rub T-Shirt
It’s no secret that dad works hard, so why not get the kids to covertly give him a back-rub? This fun shirt can be created easily with a white t-shirt and some fabric markers! Draw a racetrack, roadway, mountain path, anything your kids like to drive their toy cars around on, they’ll love playing on daddy’s new shirt, and daddy will love the great back-rub he gets when the cars massage his shoulders!

This is another quick and easy project, only requiring some colorful popsicle sticks and magic markers. Have the kids write down ten things that they love about their dad (or grandpa!), and present it to him on Father’s day morning for a beautiful start to dad’s day!

#8 – Plan A Day Menu Father’s Day Gift
Grab dad and grandpa, and treat them both to a day planned by you and your children! Have the kids help plan a simple menu (sandwiches, popsicles, salad, etc.) and they can be the maitre’d’s for the day, they’ll get a kick out of serving dad and grandpa and playing games and doing activities with them, all while creating lasting memories to treasure for years to come!
