4. Dental Floss
I find myself constantly trying to pick food out of my teeth. But I keep my fingernails short, so it’s quite tricky to get it out. And I don’t carry floss or toothpicks in my purse (maybe I should). When you have guests staying with you who enjoy eating your awesome home cooked meals, they are likely to get some leftovers left in between their teeth (corn is the worst!). Have some dental floss available in the guest bathroom for them to use so they don’t have to resort to finding something thin and sharp instead. Plus, it’s good to encourage healthy oral hygiene habits!
Many people actually floss incorrectly, but head over to affordabledentistnearme.com for instructions on how to floss properly. Your teeth and gums will thank you!

5. Feminine Hygiene Products
We women know how much it sucks to have Aunt Flow drop in for a visit unexpected. (Except when you’re trying not to get pregnant. Then she’s your BFF.) The fastest way to get me out of someone’s house is for me to start my period and not have a pad or tampon with me. Sadly, I’ve had to use toilet paper before, and that definitely doesn’t cut it. So for all the women in your life, stock up on feminine hygiene products! You can buy travel-sized ones if you don’t have a lot of storage space. But for the love of all that is sacred, don’t give us a reason to leave just because we weren’t expecting our monthly gift. We’re already going to be moody, so don’t push us further down that road.
Find the right feminine hygiene products for you and your guests by taking advice from backtothemiddle.com. Did you know there are organic tampons?
6. Towels
If your guests are staying with you for an extended amount of time, they are going to need a shower. And I’m pretty sure you don’t want them walking around your house naked looking for something to dry off with. That would sure be a conversation starter with the kids! Our guest bathroom is small, and we don’t have a lot of storage room, but we always make sure that our guests have towels to use. This includes hand towels and larger ones for showering. If you really want to earn brownie points, have a turban head towel available too. I use mine religiously. With my thick hair, it really helps get it dry faster!
