4. Scour Bath Tubs
I seriously hate cleaning our bath tubs because I never feel like I get it clean enough. Additionally, I also feel like the bath following my cleaning always has a little residue left of cleaning agent left- not something I want my daughter exposed to! You can sprinkle borax in the tub, let sit and then brush for an instant clean like you’ve never seen before. To give it a boost, you can also create a mix with 1/2 cup of borax, 1/2 cup of salt and 1 cup of baking soda in a jar. Mix well and pour at as much as you need when its time to clean the tub!

5. Garbage Disposal Odor Elimination
Garbage disposals are a necessary item in your home, but they often get smelly with old food. Instead of buying expensive cleaners that you need to use frequently, sprinkle some borax down your drain. Let sit for about an hour and then rinse with water. The borax will absorb the odor and keep your disposal smelling fresh.

6. Remove Stubborn Laundry Stains
Borax has long since been hailed as a laundry booster, for added whiteness to your laundry loads. But it’s also great as a pre-treater for stubborn stains. Mix 1/2 cup of borax with some warm water and soak the stain for at least a 1/2 hour. Then just wash as usual!
