7. Cracked Heel Remedy

I live in California, which means I am always in sandals so my feet get dry easily. As a kid, I saw my mom’s dry, cracked heels and swore that would never be me, but here I am with scraggly heels just the same! To treat your own cracked heels, mix 2 cups hydrogen peroxide with 2 cups of hot water. Then soak your feet for 30 minutes. Don’t skimp on the time! If you have to wait until the kids are in bed, do it. After soaking, then scrub with a foot file or pumice stone and then slater in thick location.

8. Whiten Nails

If you’ve gone too long without letting your nails see the light of day (i.e. back to back to back coats of nail polish) you probably have a case of yellow nails. Mix 1 cup of hot water, 1 tsp of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tbls of baking soda in a bowl. Then soak your nails for at least 10 minutes and voila! Yellow nails be gone!

Some people are prone to chronic wax buildup in their ears that can actually prevent them from hearing clearly. You can remove that build up by dropping 2-3 drops of olive or almond oil in the ear canal, then follow with 2-3 drops of hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to tilt you head so it doesn’t run right out! Let it sit for a few minutes, then tilt your head towards a sink and flush out with warm water using a bulb aspirator. Your ear wax should come right out!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to clean my daughters toys with a cleaner and then have to go back through it and wipe them all down for fear she’ll ingest a cleaner. But with hydrogen peroxide, you don’t need to worry. Simply spray the toys and let them dry, and you’ll have easily disinfected all your toys! No need to buy fancy, organic and expensive cleaning wipes!
