7. Decorate Together

Some families make a tradition out of going to a Christmas tree farm and selecting the perfect tree and then decorating it together. While others have a store-bought tree and make their own ornaments. Decorating together can look different for every family, but the importance is still the same. To spend time together making memories.

8. Have a Pajama Party with Christmas Movies

It’s no secret that as soon as December first arrives, the popular television stations break out Christmas movies and themed holiday shows. It’s something you can enjoy all month long, but why not make a special night of it as well?

Pick a day on the calendar and have a Christmas movie marathon or simply choose one movie your family wants to watch and gather around the television in your Christmas-themed pajamas and some popcorn and enjoy watching together.

9. Go Caroling

Singing Christmas songs is one of the easiest ways to get in the holiday spirit and caroling combines the love of Christmas with the love of the community. Seek out opportunities to join carolers in your neighborhood or simply form your own with your family and go door-to-door singing to others.

10. Enjoy Events in Your Community

Most communities have fun Christmas events such as a parade, pictures with Santa and decorating contests. See what your community is doing this holiday season and pick some fun events to participate in with the family.

These are just 10 simple ways you can spend time with your family making memories and enjoying the spirit of Christmas. It doesn’t have to be complicated or require a lot of time or money. Just get together and enjoy the moment.
