7 Things About Pregnancy You’ll Miss As Soon As Your Baby Arrives

Are you at the end of your pregnancy and excited about having normal sized feet and ditching the heartburn? You may find yourself wishing it over, but believe me, it’s over all too quick and you might just find there are a few things you’ll miss once it is.

1. Baby Kicks

Ok, ok, I don’t mean the aggressive bladder kicks that have you racing to the bathroom. But those first flutters and little kicks by limbs growing inside your body will fade in memory over time and you’ll be wishing to feel that familiar comfort once it’s gone.

2. Eating For Two

Sometimes I actually can’t wait to feel normal again and not hungry ALL. THE. TIME. Although, this can actually take awhile to disappear if you are breastfeeding. But I know I will miss the excuse of eating for two when I’m a ravenous mombie and the other thing that sounds good is cookie dough ice cream.

3. Having A Cute Bump

At 9.5 months pregnant I do not feel cute, not even a tiny bit. But I know as soon as I pop this baby out, I’m going to feel super emotional every time I see an expectant mama walking around with their cute bump on display. It’s a strange thing, pregnancy. So hard, yet so wonderful.

4. Hair + Nails

My hair and nails grow SO fast when I’m pregnant! It’s amazing and wonderful. You may have even lucked out to have glorious silky hair and glowing skin to go along with the excessive growth. Sometime you are sure to miss when your postpartum hair loss and acne is at an all time high. Thanks so much, hormones.

5. No Periods

I mean, it’s not like pregnancy is a breeze or anything, but certainly 10 months of no periods is a welcomed break.

6. Strangers Being Nice To You

I’m not going to lie, I often feel super awkward when I’m out and I’m greeted by total strangers who ask a million questions about your soon-to-be arrival. But, it sure beats rude people a hundred times over. You’ll find that during pregnancy people often hold the door for you and even offer you their seat. Something that unfortunately goes away when your just another Mom out with a stroller and kids in tow.

7. Loving Your Body

Although it’s a crazy time of watching your body grow and change, many women say they have never felt more comfortable in their own skin as they have while pregnant. It’s so nice not thinking about sucking in your stomach, or worrying about an extra pound or two.
