As a young teenager, I often scoffed at dollar stores, proclaiming I would NEVER shop in one. I guess I operated under the whole “why buy something cheap when I can buy it full price?” paradigm? I was young and stupid. Now that I’m and mother and have learned the ways of the world, I can attest that there are just some things that only a dollar store will provide. If you’ve ever been in a $.99 Store, Dollar Tree, Dollar General or a store by any other name (it’s just as sweet!) you know that it can take some discernment to get your shopping done. Some of these stores are not well maintained and can be dirty and disorganized. There are just as many products that you should steer clear of as those you should buy, and that’s why I’m here today. While this list isn’t cumulative, here are 10 products that you can invest your hard earned dollar bills in that you won’t regret!

1. Foil Pans
As I write this I am slapping myself for wasting $6 on 2 aluminum pie pans from Ralphs when I should have gone to the Dollar Tree! Foil bakeware is the perfect item to save money on by purchasing from a discount store. Most people end up throwing them away or using them to drop off food with family or friends. They aren’t as sturdy as your glass ware, but if you were planning on buying foil anyways then do yourself a favor and shop dollar style! (p.s. I apologize for my use of an Amazon foil pan image instead of a dollar store one but you may have guessed that dollar websites aren’t super advanced with their photography skills!)
