Maybe your mother-in-law just called to say that she’s stopping by to see the grandkids or your best friend (and her 4 kids) want to join your family for dinner at the last minute. Either way, your house is a mess and in desperate need for a quick clean up. Even if you don’t have time to really clean, there are some things you can do to make it look clean.
1. Make the Beds
It doesn’t take that long to make a bed and any room looks better when the beds are made, no matter how messy it is. So, go ahead and pull up those sheets and fluff the pillows. Straighten the bed skirt, too, so you can shove all those miscellaneous school papers on your nightstand under the bed where no one can see them.
2. Decorative Pillows
Decorative pillows are a great option to dress up a couch, but they’re also useful for hiding juice stains and toddler crumbs.
3. Fresh Flowers
A vase of fresh flowers on the table or window sill always makes a room look brighter.
