7. Go To A Splash Pad
One of the best ways for kids to escape the heat during the summer is to visit a splash pad. To find one local to you check out some city’s websites to see if they have any splash pads. They are often times at local parks or even at outdoor malls. The kids can run around, play in the water, cool off, and play for hours in the sun.
8. Concerts In The Park
Many cities during the summer have concerts in the park where local bands will play, vendors will sell different kinds of food other products. If you don’t want to buy any food there you can bring your own and have a picnic in the park while listening to family friendly music while dancing the night away.
9. Feed The Ducks
There has been much debate as to whether or not feeding local ducks is safe or not. If you personally decide that you would like to take your children to feed ducks, research what kind of food is best to feed them. If you decide not to feed the ducks, it’s still fun to go to the park and watch the ducks swim, fly, and walk around.
